Summer is here

What a Start to Summer! (Plus Some Important Updates)
Well now, what a glorious way to kick off our summer season last Sunday at the Bee Happy dog agility show! A massive thank you to everyone who brought the sunshine with them – it truly made for a fantastic day.
New competitors
It was just brilliant to see so many familiar faces back after the winter, and equally wonderful to welcome lots of brand new people who had heard about the positive experiences at our shows. One of the things I cherish most about being a smaller show is the opportunity it gives us to really guide new competitors. We aren't under the pump to rush hundreds of dogs through a ring, which means we can take the time to make sure everyone understands what to do once they step inside the ring.
Supporting dogs
Even more importantly, being a smaller show allows us to give our wonderful dogs the space and time they sometimes need, especially if they're feeling a little nervous. There was a moment during the show where a dog did need that extra bit of calm, and it just warmed my heart to see how instantly other competitors stopped what they were doing to offer help, showing such patience and empathy. A huge thank you to everyone who stepped in – it truly embodies the spirit of our Bee Happy community.
Thank you Kelly
Now, I also have some bittersweet news to share. As some of you already know, the lovely Kelly, who has been such a rock with the admin side of things for our shows, has moved on. A fantastic opportunity came her way to progress her career, and while we're so sad to see her go, we're also incredibly excited for her next chapter.
Support at dog agility shows
This does mean that I am now juggling everything from the behind-the-scenes admin to running the show day itself. As many of you know, I do this alongside my job and while managing a couple of long-term health conditions. The wonderful help and positive support that our shows already benefit from will be even more crucial going forward. Even if you can spare an hour to help with leads on either ring, it all makes a huge difference in keeping the shows running smoothly.
Spreading positivity
On top of that, spreading the word about our shows and upcoming dates to your fellow dog agility enthusiasts would be a massive help. Every share and every conversation makes a difference!
Finally, the results from our April show are now available below:
Please bear with me while I switch over the Agility And More Podcast Steeplechase Winter League results to the Summer one – I'm on it!
I'm already looking forward to seeing you all again at our May show. Let's keep the positive vibes going!
